'Tamilnadu Startup Thiruvizha' is a two-day annual celebration of Startups and Entrepreneurship in Tamil Nadu. Enlightening panel discussions, keynote addresses and fireside chats by industry experts and successful Startup founders, B2B meetings, spaces for interaction and cultural events will be part of the celebration.
StartupTN, functioning under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, is the State Nodal Agency for Startups and Innovation. With a multi-pronged approach, StartupTN backed by the unconditional support of the Government of Tamil Nadu is striving to make the State a global Startup destination and a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Working towards the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision of making Tamil Nadu a US $ 1 Trillion economy by 2030, StartupTN as the Startup ecosystem enabler is working with all the Startup ecosystem stakeholders to make the State an innovation and knowledge driven economy. Through Regional Hubs in Erode, Madurai and Tirunelveli, StartupTN is taking the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship to the corners of the State.
Marching towards the goals, StartupTN has been actively involving and working with Startups, Entrepreneurs, Innovators, Aspirants, Students, Incubators, Investors, Mentors, Government officials and other enablers as well as stakeholders in various capacities. VISION OF CM
Realising the potential of Startups and to nurture them by creating a conducive environment, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru. M.K. Stalin is showing keen interest in Startups. The slew of announcements and launch of special initiatives for Startups and efforts to directly monitor the strides taken by StartupTN and progress of Startups are testimony to it.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister in 2022-23 launched the Rs. 30 Crore ‘Tamil Nadu SC/ST Startup Fund’. Through this first of its kind initiative in the country, equity investment and debt funds are made in Startups founded and run by entrepreneurs from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. Following the overwhelming success of the fund to ensure social justice, the fund was enhanced to Rs. 50 Crore in 2023-24.
The Government of Tamil Nadu launched StartupTN Regional Hubs in Erode, Madurai and Tirunelveli in 2022-23 to create job creators in Tier II and Tier III cities and towns of the State. Four more Regional Hubs in Hosur, Salem, Thanjavur and Cuddalore in 2023-24 to strengthen the reach in rural Tamil Nadu.
